Elaeocarpus lacunosus at Vile Parle, Mumbai, June 28, 2026 for confirmation

Tree has just started flowering. (Rains have just set in this week in Mumbai)

Racemes long, about 10-12 cms visually.

Tree flowering after many years. (I visit this place regularly and have never seen it flower in the last 8 to 10 years or more).

Leaves were not serrulate. See attached images.

Leaves glabrous, main (lateral) veins prominent; secondary and tertiary veins seen.

No fruits seen.

Will keep a watch on this tree and post additional attributes at a later date.
