Dear friends,

Pictures of Clerondendron siphonanthus from the wild. Photographed on 15 Aug 2011, foothills of the Western Ghats, Palakkad district, Kerala.
Please confirm the id.
Could any one clarify the spelling of the species name. Is it siphonanthus or siphonanthis? According to www.plantlist.org it is siphonanthis.

Thanks and regards,
Sandhya

Nice Pictures!

The correct spelling is  Clerodendrum siphonanthus R. Br. and the new name for this plant is Clerodendrum indicum (L.) Kuntze of Lamiaceae family.

Giby
