Oddly enough, I clicked on these fruit of the Sandalwood tree on an earlier trip to Bangalore. This time I could see only flowers on that same tree.
I am not sure if I have already sent them to efloraofindia.
Hope they can to added to the ones of the flowers.
Regards,
Padmini Raghavan.

Botanical name is Santalum album, as I know. This is most common in
Mysore city and surroundings. Comes up naturally and protected
tree. If this tree comes up in any house one has to inform the Forest
department and one cannot cut this tree.
Another common tree in Mysore city is Magnolia champaka. Infact many
varieties are seen if you walk on the road during the flowering
season.
