While wring the name of this plant it is always suggested to check the spelling twice as the most common error is where it is spelled as Euphorbia peplis, which is completely a different plant commonly known as purple spurge. The latex of Euphorbia peplus is highly toxic and also has medicinal values known to treat skin cancer.

Thanks Prof. Sing ji for this Foto. I have plenty in my garden and is difficult to get rid of, though it looks quite decorative. It grows on the roadside as well. The milky latex sap is toxic, and children are advised to wash the hands immediately, if they pluck the "flower".

It is E. peplus and as I wrote earlier has semilunar nectaries and parted fruit angles as important characters.
