Bonjour,
You cannot travel with you "récépissé" to France.
If you cannot be present at the Préfecture on the date of your appointment to receive your "carte de séjour", you have to apply for a "visa de retour".
The "visa de retour" is a long stay visa and only the Préfecture that has issued your "récépissé" can give authorization to deliver the "visa de retour".
Processing time can take up to a month (and sometimes more).
Your have to present the following documents:
- long stay application form
- 2 passport photos
- passport copy
- récépissé de demande de titre de séjour + 1 copy
- letter from employer
- cover letter explaining the reason why you are unable to attend the appointment
- all documents explaining your situation
- fee for long stay visa 99,00 € payable in INR accordinf to the French Government's official rate of exchange: 6 513 INR until October 15th.
Bien cordialement
