Dear Capt.Mohapatra,
“As a outsider i will be worried to see if as a doctor you have to
take advise from cleaning people”.
Suresh: You are blinded by the ‘ego’, or same pattern of thinking.
Please note it is not voluntarily Doctor to take advice from cleaning
people. It can happen or It might happen. When any person is highly
tensed, then definitely he cannot see simple thing which is in front
of him. This is applicable to highly educated professionals and
uneducated laymen. The persons who are nearby but not involved or no
responsibility to act in that situation will be more open, their
presence of mind works better, so they might tell you what to do and
that turn to be the best action possible that time.
If you want to know my statements are true or not, then please
approach some psychologist and ask, else ask some spiritual gurus such
as Jaggi vasudev or Sri Ravi shanker.
“Iam very sure Master was not very happy when this happened on his ship”.
Suresh: Can it be other way around? Is it possible that Master is
happy when 5 of his co sailors dying?
It cannot happen. So Master being unhappy is out of question and
irrelevant in this contest of argument.
My question is, is he strict in executing risk assessment for any task
performed by anybody? (Especially lifeboat lowering is critical
operation and hence he should have been present in that scenario to
oversee and guide the entire operation.)
“Making mistake is human. This used to happen before also. You cannot
stop this happen in future”
Suresh: Have you not heard ‘six sigma’ such quality standards through
which they ensure 99.999% quality or safety. Many companies using this
tool shown profit such as GE of USA
Knowing well that human make mistake, we need to develop a system
which takes into account of all aspect of human mistakes and provide a
solution to resolve all errors and provide 100% safety or 99.999%
safety. We should not be keep talking about our past inabilities and
continue to live in dark.
