Good morning all!

As we finish up another hopefully wonderful week of educating our students, I just wanted to send out a reminder of the upcoming Annual Spring AAPT meeting:

Location:  IU Bloomington
Dates:  March 7th and 8th
Attendees:  Only the BEST Physics teachers in the Nation!

As we get closer, I'm also reaching out to remind everyone that there are two huge opportunities.  First, we are still looking for talk submissions where you can share how you make your classroom education amazing and how we can do the same.  Or if there is a particular topic of interest you just want to share about.  Please submit your talk using the link below and we will add you to our schedule.  There are a lot of open slots still, so the more the better!

Second, there is still time to submit your nomination for the AAPT-IN Outstanding Teacher of the Year.  We would love to have to go through 100 submissions and make the choice as tough as it should be with so many great teachers in this State.  Please take a moment to consider someone (or even yourself) to submit for this honor using the link provided below.

The deadline for submissions for each is getting close as we need to lock in our schedule and make sure we have time to have our awards on hand to recognize those deserving individuals.  Please take a moment to do either or both by February 8th.

We look forward to hosting a great meeting this March.  My last request is that if you know someone who is new to teaching or who has never attended one of our meetings, please consider asking them to join us.  As we grow our community, we can only become better because of it.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Best Regards

Benjamin G. Grimes, AAPT-IN President
