I hope that your academic year has been off to a good start. I know that the stress of returning to the classroom can often be a combination of overwhelming joy and paralyzing trepidation that eventually settles into the knowledge that you can do this, some of you for the first time and others for the fortieth. Regardless of where you are in it, you are running the good race and your work is appreciated.
One of the goals of the Indiana Chapter of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT-IN) is to offer our teachers the opportunity to expand their professional networks and skill sets through in-person workshops focused on good practices in Mechanics, particularly linear dynamics and kinematics. We would like to extend an invitation to a series of four hour workshops which will be held throughout the year.
Where: Roncalli High School, Indianapolis, IN
When: Saturday Mornings, once a month, 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Cost: FREE! Did someone say "free"? Yes! FREE!
We have selected a series of tentative dates for the workshops beginning in September with the first one scheduled for Saturday, September 20th. We do not have a particular target audience, but we would love to see as many early teachers and those of you who are currently teaching Physics by fiat join us as this is an excellent opportunity to build community and learn from those who have been in the field for a while.
