Research volunteers needed for study about factors related to physics teacher retention.

• Are you over the age of 18?
• Are you a graduate of a physics teacher preparation program?
• Did you graduate with a license to teach high school physics after the 2015-2016 school year?
• Do you teach at least one section of physics?

Background: We are studying factors related to physics teacher career trajectories. We are interested in how physics teachers decide to stay in the teaching profession. To do this, we are collecting survey responses and conducting interviews with graduates of physics teacher preparation programs.

The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, we will ask for volunteers to participate in an additional interview. Interviews will take place via Zoom and will last approximately 45-60 minutes. Survey responses and interview data will be kept confidential as will your decision to participate in this study.

Participants who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing to win one of ten Amazon digital gift cards worth $20 each. Participants who complete an interview will receive an Amazon digital gift card worth $50.
