Greetings Indiana Teachers of Physics!

I received this communication today about a summer Research Experience for Teachers (RET) opportunity this summer at Brigham Young University (BYU). This is a paid summer research opportunity. The RET program pairs physics teachers with physics researchers who will work as part of their research lab through the summer.

When I did a summer RET program at BYU as a classroom teacher in 2016, it was one of the best professional development experiences of my teaching career.

Also, BYU has a pretty strong culture of acknowledging that people have families. If would want to bring families and/or partners along for the summer, you might consider reaching out to the BYU physics department to identify a path forward. I know there is some precedent for RET participants traveling with spouses, but I don't know the details.

See the flier for more info.
