Hi everyone
I had posted a survey online sometime back. I think I posted out the
link to promote participation yesterday. The link is live:

I have made a few changes since yesterday. I realised when I read a
note from a senior manager at one company that some answers were not
in the scope of being discussed (since they were confidential) at that
I should remove the mandatory status from all questions. I have left
the initial few questions mandatory so that I can still categorize the
responses I receive.

<<Problems Faced:>>
**External -
Staff mobility because of globalization
Shortage of Talent
Increased volume of irrelevant applications
**Complexity of Data -
Applications come in various data formats (soft)
Maintaining details of source of application and tracking the same
**Filter problems -
Manual screening and reviewing is time consuming
Job boards filtering does not provide results specific to job
information
**Misinformation -
Candidate giving information that is typically expected by
recruiter
Time wasted in interviewing wrong/unqualified candidates
**Data Maintenance -
No centralized database for information to be stored. It is
locally stored with recruiters
Lack of tools to locate/track candidates
Unable to share information with other (geographically
distributed) business units etc.
**Team work -
Lack of collaboration between the hiring team (includes
recruiters, interviewers and hiring managers/decision makers)
**Statistics -
No track
- of numbers and statistics and hence poses difficulty in
calculating cost per hire
- of numbers that can be used to project future hiring
timelines
**All above resulting in -
Heavy administrative workload which is a typical turn-off for
recruiters
Hiring cost increases
Hiring time elongates
