Watching India struggle, at 101-4 in the 24th over, trying to make it
to the Super 8, I thought I should spend time in a productive way
rather than mindlessly watching a game that would pay me nothing.

Most of us are very busy recruiting head-count increase and
replacements, probably, we never stopped and thought for a moment
about what it would cost our employer in replacing us! What if you
decide to quit your job and move on to another job?

Q: What does your present employer lose?

Here are a few reasons I could dig out from a blog at www.ere.net
(Author: Dakotta Alex):

A person:

who is familiar with the organization, opinions of people within and
outside the organization
who knows what kind of a person he should look for
who is seasoned in selling the company and the jobs within
who knows the right people to get things done
who people reach out to refer acquaintances for jobs
who can reach out people to refer potential employees

Moreover, a person:

who can identify the right people for a team
who recognize the right team for people

Further more, the company loses prospective employees as well. Hires
made by that recruiter tend to disbelieve the company's retention
strategies and interests.

I am sleepy now. Please pool in your thoughts.
