With such shortage of talent, recruitment is becoming more of a
marketing job, and recruiters are the sellers of the job and the
company. Its similar to the FMCG industry where the company that has
more marketing budget wins a bigger market share.

For instance, Fevicol is Pidlite's brand name, and everyone addresses
every white, resinous adhesive as Fevicol (remember Vamicol, the one
that came close to being recognized individually, but still, everyone
called it Fevicol!)

An analogy for the above is the way people in tier-3 cities and below
address every software company as Infosys, and consider Infosys the
only company worth working for.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time we cash in on freshers as well. Thats
a trend I see coming very very soon (less than 2 years). And well, how
could one forget *e-litmus*, which has already established its name as
the most economical solution to hiring freshers, backed by majors like
Microsoft in providing them an effective (cost and quality) hiring
solution.

The future is all open to recruiters who can cash in!
