The American Nurses Association (ANA) has selected 15 Partner Organizations to receive grant funding to support and expand dissemination of Project Firstline Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) resources, ensuring front-line nurses and health care workers are up to date with the latest information. NAINA is one of the partner organizations to receive this grant. Dr. Nisha Mathews, NAINA research chair is the lead for this project.

What is Project FirstLine?

Project Firstline provides innovative and accessible infection control education for all frontline healthcare workers – so they can protect their patients, their coworkers and themselves from infectious disease threats in health care.
As a collaborative, Project Firstline brings together more than 75 healthcare, academic, and public health partners to reach a wide range of healthcare audiences and settings across the country.
Project Firstline offers educational resources in a variety of formats to meet the diverse learning needs and preferences of the healthcare workforce. Resources are designed using adult learning principles, educational best practices, CDC recommendations, and the science that informs them.
NAINA is currently an Organizational Affiliate, with American Nurses Association(ANA). NAINA collaborating with ANA will help us to work as a unified force in transforming health care.
Participate in the Nurse Empowerment Program

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) has partnered with Johnson & Johnson Foundation on a program to bring free leadership and nursing courses to frontline clinical nurses.

Need help navigating difficult situations, collaborating with peers, or advocating for change in the workplace? Apply for our Nurse Empowerment Program and learn about the important challenges and opportunities that frontline nurses experience. Sigma is looking for registered clinical nurses providing direct care.

Sigma membership is not required, so pass along this opportunity to colleagues you think may be eligible and interested. This program is targeting frontline nurses in the United States and Canada, with particular interest in nurses who represent minority groups.
