Query about selection of regression analysis

Hello to all... I have two query regarding regression analysis

1.) How can I decide when to make which type of analysis i.e. linear plot / semi-log plot / log-log plot / sth else regression analysis.

2.) Suppose I have an equation Q = Cd.A.(2gh)^0.5    and I have to plot Q vs h then for which type of plot (linear plot / semi-log plot / log-log plot / sth else) I should go for ?

Hi,
plot all the data points you have in excel and go for for a chart
after seeing the plot, you can easily get to know which type of equation fits in.
go for higher value of regression coeffecient. theorically it can reach 1.

regarding 2nd question, its a simple power equation. you can go for linear scale ----use excel.
