Dear Sir,

I am writing on behalf of the Helping Hands Foundation (HHF) to bring to your attention the continued distress faced by Smt. Lakshmi Devi regarding her complaint about the theft of her jewelry during a train journey from Tirupati to Secunderabad on 8.4.2022.

For your reference, we are attaching:

1.    Our previous representation to your office dated 25.08.2023, highlighting the complaint and the need for recovery of the stolen jewelry.

2.    Your reply dated 03.10.2023, addressing the matter at that time.

3.    A fresh representation from the complainant, dated 02.02.2025, stating that despite repeated phone calls, she has not received any response from your department regarding the developments in the court case. It appears that due to staff transfers, the new officers handling the case are not responding to her inquiries.

In light of the above, we kindly request your immediate intervention and assistance in providing us with the following details:

  • The name of the court where the case is being heard.
  • The case number assigned to the matter.
  • The present status of the case.
  • Copies of relevant documents related to the case.

Since HHF is actively supporting the complainant in seeking justice, these details will enable us to take suitable action with the court to ensure an early settlement of the issue.

We would appreciate your prompt response to this matter, as the complainant has already faced significant distress and uncertainty due to the lack of updates.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

We look forward to your earliest reply.

Subject: Urgent Reminder – Request for Case Status Update

Dear Sir,

This is in continuation of our email dated 14.02.2025, regarding the theft case of Smt. Lakshmi Devi (FIR No. 14/2022, Gooty Railway Police Station), for which we have not received any response from your office.

We also sent a hard copy of our email through Registered Post on 15.02.2025, which, as per tracking results, was delivered to your office on 22.02.2025. However, to date, we have not received any acknowledgment of receipt of our communication, nor any information regarding the present status of the case or an action taken report.

As per the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), Section 173(2), investigating officers are legally obligated to provide updates to the complainant regarding the status of the case, including the progress of the investigation and any court proceedings. The lack of communication in this matter is causing great distress to the complainant and is unacceptable.

We urgently demand an update on:

    • The current status of the case.
    • Details of any recovery efforts.
    • Court proceedings and future actions planned.

Given that this robbery occurred several years ago, it is imperative to receive an immediate update. Failure to provide a response may compel us to escalate the matter further.

For your information, a copy of this email is being marked to your superior officials, requesting them to issue the necessary instructions to ensure timely updates and proper action.

We look forward to your immediate response.
