Query on Nexus 5

Hi,

Need to know how to do the following on the Nexus 5 :

1. How can i sync my Facebook birthdays with Google Calendar

2. How can i hide apps

3. I see the backup and reset option. How do i restore from the backup?

3. First time or after reset when you setup phone by entering gmail ID, it will ask to restore app and setting.

I did a reset but did not get any option to restore.
