Installed it via mobile Odin and it worked as a no wipe keeping all my apps and settings intact as well as preserving root since I had kept the enable ever root ticked.

How do you do that?

Install mobile Odin on your phone (needs a rooted sgs2 or note)
Run it and let it download files that it needs to operate.
Now copy the single tar file to your note.
And run mobile Odin
Go to open file and select the rom file u copied, it will populate all the fields for kernel system data etc. and keep all the settings as it is including the Enable EverRoot one.
In case u have a rooted kernel copy it to the sdcard, just tap on kernel and choose the kernel .tar file u copied to your sdcard.(untick Enable EverRoot)
Now tap on flash firmware and it should do all the work for u and reboot into the new os.
