INVITATION TO PRIVATE INVESTORS FOR EXPLOITING SMALL HYDRO POTENTIAL IN HIMACHAL

Himachal Pradesh Government invites proposals from Private investors
such as Private Ltd. Company/Public Ltd. Company/Public Sector
Undertakings/Partnership concerns/Sole Proprietary/ Himachalis /Co-
Operative Societies comprising of the bonafide Himachalis etc. for
setting up Small Hydro projects at various sites i.e. "Identified
projects" and projects identified by the IPPs as 'Self identified
Projects" The Private investors will have to take up the work from
concept to commissioning including pre-feasibility, survey &
investigation and preparation of DPR etc.
The details of Identified projects, application format and guidelines
can be obtained from the office of the Director, HIMURJA, 8-A, SDA
Complex, Kasumpti Shimla:-171009, against payment of Rs. 5000/- only
towards application fee (non refundable) through bank draft drawn in
favour of "Director HIMURJA" payable at Shimla. The applications shall
be received in the office of HIMURJA upto 45 days from the date of
advertisement.
PROMOTIONAL INCENTIVES:-
A. By Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources, Govt. of
India. (As contained in the brochure).
B. By Himachal Pradesh Government. (As contained in the
brochure.) Receipt of offers and procedure for allotment.
The applications on the prescribed format, supported with the
requisite documents and application fee (non-refundable) shall be
received in the office of Director. HIMURJA at the address mentioned
above on all the working days. The application(s) shall be submitted
in sealed cover duly superscribed "APPLICATION FOR ALLOTMENT OF HYDRO
PROJECT" applications not submitted on the prescribed format or not
accompanied with the requisite application fee shall not be accepted
and shall be rejected out rightly.
IMPORTANT:-
1. Small Hydro Projects upto 2.00 MW capacity shall be exclusively
reserved for the bonfide Himachalis and Co-operative Societies
comprising of the bonafide Himachalis while allotting such projects
upto 5.00 MW. preference will be given to the bonafide Himachalis. If
there are more than one Himachali (Applicant), preference shall be
given to the person of the area, or the District. Not more than 3
projects shall be allotted for implementation to an IPP
2. If the IPP is interested to apply for more than one project,
separate applications for each project shall be submitted alongwith
application fee for each project.
3. The Govt. of Himachal Pradesh reserves the right to reject any or
all applications without assigning any reason.
4. The advertisement is subject to the interim orders of Hon'ble High
Court in respect of CWP No. 361/2006- Ajay Shyam Vs. State of H.P &
Others.
5. The sites being advertised are tentative and are subject to
verification from HPSEB, The IPPs are advised to visit the site
personally before applying for a particular site to ensure that
applied site is free from encumbrances and does not overlap with
already allotted sites including allotted sites of HPSEB.
