Hello India 2013 team!

New Year Greetings!

Hope you have had a relaxing and enjoyable break. I am back in Portland so feel free to call me if you need to check in. 503-830-6071.
Alaura, your excitement is contagious! I assume that everyone has their tickets by now. Kindly fill out the google doc that Jana so kindly put together.

MANY thanks to Jana for the detailed packing list. It has made everyone's life easier. If you are so moved and want to stick in some crayons, felt pens, colored paper (as long as it is not heavy), that would be welcome at your service sites.

On Monday, January 7th, as Jana mentioned, we will meet in Room 502 ED bldg, at noon. I hope that you have gained more insight into service-learning based on the readings. We will discuss the readings/assignments. Plus, the enclosed agreement needs to be signed ...we have talked about it a couple of times and you already have a copy.

Bring brown-bag lunch along.

The warm weather (upper 80s) there will indeed be welcome, I am sure.

If folks are meeting up over this weekend, let me know.

See you soon. Like you all, I can hardly wait!!!! I am leaving Portland on Sunday, Jan 13, early in the morning. I will spend a few days in Mumbai with colleagues, family, and friends also exploring some projects. I will meet you at the Madurai airport on Jan 20th.

The excitement is most definately contagious! There was one part of the agreement we had discussed changing/omitting which was the line about vaccinations and taking malaria meds since each of us is doing what we see fit. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday!!!
