WikifyIndia is the Wikipedia of government procedures. It applies a model that works fairly well (Wikipedia) to something that is fairly broken (governance at the grassroots level). If Wikipedia is the Thinker's Encyclopedia, WikifyIndia is the Doer's Encyclopedia. The site aims to make interactions with the government faster, less expensive and less prone to corruption by providing complete and accurate information on procedures & collating experiences (wisdom of the crowds)

Wikipedia started 10 years ago in one language with zero articles to grow to 18 mn articles in 270 languages. It is because some people contributed for everyone else's benefit. As an active member of the Indian online community, I encourage you to share government procedures and your experiences on WikifyIndia. And please spread the word if you can.

WikifyIndia is a non-profit site, free of advertising and run by volunteers.
