Noble prescription for India

It is refreshing to read Indian born Noble Laureate Venky speak his
mind for the return of Indian scientists working abroad. His
prescription is loud and clear - "autonomy from politicians,
bureaucrats, red tape and corruption". This is a sane advice and must
be considered seriously by the entire nation, to transform India.

The nexus between politicians and bureaucrats in institutionalising
red tapism and corruption for their mutual survival is well known.
Total transparency leading to toal accountability is the need of the
hour. Would the intelligentsia come together to root out red tapism
and corruption in all spheres of life to make India a better nation?
