Well this Something Nice has happened and I had been lucky to spend 75 Minutes
enjoying the Spectacle.
The Story:
This has been a exhilarating experience to see the wait of 32 Days fructify with the successful
hatching of the Eggs of this particular Pair of Sarus Cranes at Dhanauri Wetlands. The pair
laid eggs twice in 2018 but as the local villagers reported (their comments are on record but
I have muted these) that the eggs were taken away by some photographers in military type
fatigues (The Group is Known for its outing in number crossing 300 at times). Anyway, this
year it was a delight when I heard in the morning that two Chicks were visible. With Sincere
Apologies to the Boss, who perhaps needed my presence by her side after a minor surgery,
but the lure of such once in a life time sight - of two Chicks Swimming Together when seeing Crane Hatchling Swimming
is very rare. Taken on 18th Afternoon in the Evening Sunlight. Caveat: No disturbance
caused to the Cranes.
Two Hatchlings/Chicks.
A Video of both the Hatchlings Swimming together. (Five years ago, learnt for the first time that the
Crane Chicks/Hatchlings can swim and got a Video on one swimming).
How about subscribing to my Channel !
Enjoy.
