UNLOCK 01
Greetings on World Environment Day
A Video LinK:
https://youtu.be/J90Ds61S7bQAfter 69 Days, I get my Fundamental Right (partially) back to freely
decide to ‘get out of house’ and also ‘move where I like’ (again
partially) but within the Law Mandated limits.
It was, therefore, a GREAT feeling to get behind the Wheel, feel
like floating and then getting 'One with Nature’.
As World Environment Day - 5th June - dawned, I headed to my
current favourite hang-out after 13th March 2020. It was a good
day to go ‘Birding’ - Cloud Cover, Cool Breeze, Some Rain. And,
so it turned out at Dhanauri Wetlands.
First tryst was with ‘Chicks’ of Black-Winged Stilt and then with
that of Red-Wattled Lapwing - all on the way.
Dhanauri, of course, the first ‘Darshan’ is of Sarus Cranes -
nearly 25 in families of 2, 3,4 but no flock seen.
The Highlight, of course, was an Indian Spot-Billed Duck with
a ‘brood’ of 10 - swimming to Glory all over the Water. The other
such seen was of a Lesser Whistling Teal.
Here are three Chicks - none came close enough to do a
full-frame shot.
