Hi All,
I do not know if this is a SPAM or whatever but the logic below is utter nonsense. There are more cars in european , american, australian and developed countries. I know they have no wildlife left but that is another argument, in case somebody wants to pick that up . Here ina an Indian urban situation we are the worst in the world - no social discipline, no mutual understanding no respect for the co drivers and most important of all no planning sense at urban - micro or macro level. Roads can and should be planned with trees as avenues. It has been proved that trees need not be cut to make way for roads. I am an architect / planner myself and know the exact scenario - trees are cut to satisfy the wood business lobby . So please stop giving the utter illogical statement about cars and environmentalists ( that is a fact though that we again or too badly administered by our so called elected heads to plan roads and car volumes) but it can be done) and I
hope the time comes in the near future - maybe in a century atleast for the Indians that Scientific Planning, Common Sense and Social discipline are a must for comfortable urban socities.
