With our 50th Year Reunion at IIMC scheduled for 30th and 31st January 2016,
I had planned to use this opportunity to cover Sundarban National Park for some
birds not seen elsewhere (or not easily). WingCo joined and the Fun multiplied
several times in his Company.
Got 9 Lifers for sure (with photographs of seven) and may be a few more which
I would need to check with my records.
While I would write the trip in detail, share some of the highlights.
First, of course, that we missed out on the Tiger but here are Kingfishers.
Here is a Black-Capped Kingfisher taken on 27th January 2016 in the
Northern Circuit of Sundarban National Park, West Bengal, India
Believe these guys eat Crabs and not Fish and should have been named
'king-crabbers'.
Taking images was a challenge with the Boat Rocking, Poor Light and hand-holding
(most of the time) the 7 Kg Cannon.
Cheers.
