Key benchmark indices are likely to open flat note tracking mixed
global cues. US Stocks tumbled yesterday to close at their lowest
levels of the year as Wall Street was dogged by concerns of a jobless
US recovery and the mounting European debt crisis. Asian stock
markets reversed earlier losses with investors looking for some
bargain hunting in blue chip stocks. Meanwhile, short covering after a
sell off in the previous session may help the Indian market in the
second half.
According to data released by the NSE, in the last session, FIIs were
net sellers of index futures to the tune of Rs 1665.08 crore,
while they bought index options worth Rs 1890 crore. They were net
sellers of stock futures to the tune of Rs 261.53 crore and sold
stock options worth Rs 14.70 crore.
