Job description:

Measuring and marking pipes for cutting and threading. Assembling and welding pipe components and systems. Securing pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment. Ordering required materials such as pipes, hangars, brackets, hydraulic cylinder’s, etc.

Qualification:

Technical certificate of government (ITI)

Preferred skills

Customer service skills and good communication habits are both important for a successful pipe fitter to have as is an aptitude for problem-solving and management. Physical stamina for long hours of manual work is also essential.
