About the role: -
Your responsibilities include operating a mobile Pilling drilling rig to drill and monitor Pilling wells for Construction Buildings, Villas, house’s purpose. you will be responsible for ensuring that support for buildings is in place, by driving various materials into the ground to create structural support. You may also be required to move materials around building sites, and will be in charge of ensuring the machinery you are using is well maintained.
Responsibilities: -
• Driving heavy steel tubes into the ground at the right depth, filling them with concrete and then removing them, to leave the support in place
• Driving fully reinforced, pre-cast concrete piling into the ground
• Carrying out rotary bore piling using a temporary casing and auger to drill to the necessary depth
• Installing mini piles where space is limited
• Checking equipment before it’s used and keeping it maintained
• Working with technical plans and information
• Identifying the position of underground services (such as pipes or wires) before starting work
• Using hoisting equipment to position piling leads and hammers
• Operating machinery (either directly or via control mechanisms).
• Arrange site visit on request of Business Development officer and give fare and correct report of ground formation, access, for drilling and camping facilities.
• Inspecting and checking the Pilling equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
• Ensure safe transportation of the Pilling rig to the place of work.
• Sets up and operates Heavy duty truck-mounted Pilling rig to drill wells.
• Observe changes in rock formations being penetrated or variations in the drilling process and use suitable drill bits for better penetration.
• Knowledge of reading Projects Plans of Buildings to determine well placement, size, and depth requirements.
• Regular cleaning and repairing tools used in the Pilling drilling process.
• Follow and implement workplace safety practices for crew members.
• Submit a detailed consumption report after the end of each shift.
• Maintaining and monitoring stocks of drilling consumables.
• Assist the Maintenance team in fixing equipment/machine breakdown to minimise downtime and production loss.
Candidate requirements:-
• Minimum high school/Diploma or technical certificate from a recognised body.
• Minimum Ten years of experience in a similar industry.
• Knowledge of Pilling Well drilling methods & all equipment.
• Good hand on operating rigs like Fermont and Schramm.
• Written and verbal communication skills to communicate in English
• Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues during the drilling process.
• Healthy & physical stamina.
