Location: Central Africa

Reporting: Core Management

Proposed Cadre and Grade: Senior Management

Function/Department: Logistics

Qualification: Bachelor / Diploma – Supply Chain / Logistics / Import Export

Experience (in years): 12-15 years

Preferred Industry/Company: Shipping line / Clearing agents / Mining Metal / Transportation / SCM

Mandatory with whole exp.: 3-5 years

Must experience in DRC: In Logistics / procurements

Age: 35-40 years

Work Experience

·         Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience in Import and Export operation

·         Should be aware documentation and clearance Procedure of import and export (BL, pre shipment inspection etc.)

·         Knowledge of after shipment container transfer movements.

·         Truck transportation experience and awareness of manifest system

·         Able to handle logistics dept. with minimum of 20 members

·         Experience in Liaising with Govt. Authorities i.e. Customs, Taxes related to Import & Export

Key Responsibilities

·         Co-ordinates with suppliers from INDIA, CHINA, SA, DUBAI etc.

·         Handle whole operation of export and import

·         MIS preparation for management

·         Co-ordination with clearing agents

·         Co-ordination with transporters at DAR, SA, ZAMBIA

·         Co-ordination with project and operation team

·         Documents checking preparing as per requirements

·         ERP system reports

·         Co-ordination with port notify party on clearing shipment and loading

·         BIVAC process co-ordinations

·         Daily co-ordination with customs and govt. staff
