The Role: Impact & Contribution: To streamline the IP process for Our Client

Job Responsibilities:

·         Provide legal support on contractual matters, particularly relating to technology development and IP matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts, which are often complex arrangements involving multiple parties

·         Proactively identify and manage areas of legal risk, particularly relating to IP risks and rights

·         Conduct prior art and patent searches and prepare patentability, freedom to operate, non-infringement and invalidity opinions

·         Patent portfolio development and management

·         Oversee drafting and prosecution of patent applications (this may include original drafting and review of external counsel work product)

·         Establish and foster relationships with business personnel who are involved in our technology development

·         Support the business units in reporting inventions and making decisions about IP protection, such as reviewing invention report forms, meeting with inventors, performing patentability searching, and supporting our IP network

·         Make recommendations on courses of action by business and technical personnel in view of IP risk analyses and opinion work

·         Provide litigation support as needed, particularly relating to technology ownership matters, IP infringement, confidentiality breaches and other matters relating to IP

Key Competencies Required:

Technical: working knowledge of MS Office (expertise in PowerPoint & Excel)

Managerial:

Performance Measurement: Based on K.R.A

Skills, Knowledge

·         Well versed on IP laws & contract laws

·         Working knowledge of laws applicable in manufacturing industry.

·         Contract act

·         IP laws

Education:

LLB

CS, Degree/Diploma in Intellectual Property (Desirable)
