Job description:
Detailed knowledge of the 3Ts (tin, tungsten, tantalum) if possible either by profession as a chemist or metallurgist or then by lengthy experience working in a metal trading company. This would include the ability to analyse ores using a spectrometer and by chemical/visual inspection
Manage local clients and engage in the procurement process, including purchase, sampling, packing into drums and document verification
Strict maintenance and organization of inventory levels, given its high value
Negotiation and social skills necessary to attract new suppliers, visit and raise awareness on a ground level at minesites to ensure a constant supply of material, whilst engaging in daily dialogue for information purposes with local Government authorities
Contributing to daily MIS reports on the stock, purchase, treatment and packing of export material, whilst participating and contributing in management meetings on marketing strategies in the interior in order to raise quantity of material supplied
Rapidly engaging in learning either French or Swahili
