Any idea why I can't open a Word doc or docX, saved from an Acrobat accessible pdf? The only way I can get the pdf accessible text out of the pdf is by Acrobat> Save as text, which I can open.

Saved using what tool? Version #?

Why do you need to get text out of a .pdf? It's almost always better to get the source files and use those.

Maybe a problem of using the correct version of the program...
as we should know, a .doc(x) is not always the same as a .doc(x)

I just got new texts in doc in docx, and hope I'll be able to import them in Indy...

I'm pretty sure that the issue is getting Accessible text from a pdf into any version of Word. We've applied a lot of Alt text to Span tags. So it's pretty amazing that the entire text of a 100 pg pdf can do a "save as" straight text where the Alt text replaces the printed "what you see on the page" text.

And after importing the text into MS speech function works far better than Acrobat's Read Outloud. Of course text without tags or figures is much simpler than an Accessible pdf. Still it would be nice if I could "save as" a doc or docX, but doesn't work on the mac.
