I haven’t had much luck with font managers in recent years but since using Mojave I’ve been using the Font Book that comes with it. Seems to work pretty well - you can move fonts in and out, set up groups etc. etc. Ann |

For Mac users on the heels of the request for font managers I would like to pass on my recommendation for SetApp. My yearly subscription was more than paid by replacing my subscriptions to MacCleaner and couple of others. It gives you full access to 240 apps — not just tiny ones not vetted by anyone but fully functional, professional apps. It’s a wonderful way to save money, have your subscriptions managed under one account, test out apps, use apps you only need once in a while, and keep everything up to date through one site. And a good way to find things I never would have thought to look for. I was dubious since it sounded like such a good idea and I was getting burned by the subscription craze but it has worked very well and I’m hopeful that it has worked for app developers as well. $10 to $15 a month depending on how many machines and devices you are using the apps on. Well worth the price. https://setapp.com/ Why has this list gone dead? Surely Indesign has not died? Sharon ---- Sharon Villines, Washington DC "Reality is something you rise above." Liza Minnelli |

I have a 2013 iMac running Mojave and use FontExplorer X Pro, version 7.26, and it works wonderfully. I’ve been using FontExplorer for at least 10 years. It started out as a Linotype app at something like $59 to buy a license. I’ve kept it upgraded, sometimes for free and sometimes for a one-time charge. It looks like Monotype owns it now https://www.fontexplorerx.com <https://www.fontexplorerx.com/> and has it wrapped up with fonts as a subscription :( My guess is that you can’t package those fonts, just like CC’s cloud fonts. > Why has this list gone dead? The forum seems entirely devoted to older Macs and versions of InDesign, which is all great, but I own a 2022 MacBook Pro running the current OS and current Creative Cloud version of ID. That’s my case both at work and home. InDesign is alive and well. I just don’t have much to offer with regard to legacy software and systems. I read everything that posts here. I just find a better fit for engagement in the Adobe and CreativePro forums. Cheers, Paul Rosenberg | Seattle |

Thanks Ann, Font Book is great. All I needed was open a font. All opened fonts show in Affinity apps Kathleen |

Yikes. I did not see a notification about that.
