Superscript and underline

Isn't there an option to tell InDesign not to superscript an underline ?
Actually, I set the underline as needed for the superscripted characters, but in this case, it would be easier to simply say leave the line where it is...

I don't like the underlines, and I do avoid them in my layouts, but the customer wants them...

Can you change to an Opentype Pro font? If you use pre-built superscripted letter glyphs from an Opentype font, the underline stays where it should. The attached screen grab uses the font Utopia, which includes all the lowercase letters in the superscript position.

Just checked and found that you can create a character style to apply OT superior/superscript to give you the superscripted version of letters as well as numbers in a font that has the superscripted letters.
