Position:       QA Analyst             At $35/hr  Need F2F
Location:      Jacksonville, FL
Duration :     3-6+ Months
 
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  

Preferred:

Ø      Experience in the testing aspects of software development

Ø      Experience with the programming of web-based or client-server applications

Ø      Experience with medical systems

Ø      Experience with testing-related issue management and resolution

Required:

Ø      Software testing and quality assurance 3+ years, 1+ years in a ASP or ASP.NET environment required

Ø      Rational Robot automated testing tools 2+ years required

Ø      RUP and Rational Enterprise Suite of Tools 1+ years (RUP, Test Suite, Requisite Pro, Rose, ClearCase, ClearQuest, SODA) required

Ø      Object-oriented analysis and design 1+ years required

Ø      Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ø      Ability to communicate effectively with technical and user staff

 

Tasks

For each application involved, the applicant will provide the following tasks:

Ø      Develop Test Plans outlining the types of testing to be conducted, testing resources and timeline for testing

Ø      Coordinate and conduct the functional/user acceptance testing with team members

Ø      Work with vendor developers to monitor and obtain the results of their testing (unit, system & integration testing)  

Ø      Develop and conduct test cases, scenarios and scripts with traceability to requirements

Ø      Develop and run automated test scripts using Rational Robot

Ø      Attend use case workshops as needed

Ø      Track and report test results, statistics and metrics.  Act as liaison for testing resources and development team in resolving issues/discrepancies discovered during testing

Ø      Provide sign-off documents for each stage of testing for review and sign-off by Technical Lead, Business Lead, Project Sponsor and Project Manager

Ø      Create visual models using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) contained in Rational Roseä  and Rational XDEä tools

Ø      Develop other deliverables as determined by the Project Manager

Ø      Provide mentoring, training and support to other staff throughout the testing phase of the project
