Dear friends,

Perhaps you are aware of the fact that "Aadhaar evangelism" (efforts to convert other countries to the Aadhaar biometric identity model) is spreading across the world. UK Prime Minister's recent description of Aadhaar as a "massive success" is a good indication, among others, that the international audience is being misled. Against this background, five Indian organisations (Internet Freedom Foundation, NCPRI, Rethink Aadhaar, Bahutva Karnataka and Jharkhand Janadhikar Mahasabha) have prepared a brief statement for the international audience, summarising their critique of Aadhaar. Please consider endorsing this statement by filling this short form before 18 November. (PS: Please avoid sharing this statement with the media until it is released.)
