| | | | | Job Description | | | | Roles and Responsibilities - Configure and maintain Tableau Server Software Layer
- System Administration (includes site creation, server maintenance/Upgrades/patches).
- Change management including software, hardware upgrades, patches
- Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements
- Migration of Site content from one environment to other
- Manage and support migration of objects (dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks, dashboards), from development to production environments
- Technically Sound with the Server connectivity over the network in Intranet & Internet (Public Hosting).
- Managing and troubleshooting user access issues in Tableau environment
- Installation, configuration and deployment of new sites / projects to Tableau servers
- Handling P1/P2/P3 issues as per SLAs defined and handling automated alerts
- Create and Circulate Monthly Engagement Status Report to Stakeholders (Ticket history and Metrics; Service Now Open Tickets, Resend Tickets; Usage and User Metrics)
- Perform periodic restore testing on an agreed schedule (DR Testing )
Desired Candidate Profile - Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop Pro, Server, Interactor), with a strong understanding of Tableau administration.
- Experience as Tableau administrator, developing in, configuring and administering Tableau Server.
- 5 -7 years of experience in BI role working specifically with Business Community producing analytical reports/dashboards, predictive analytics, ROI calculations demonstrating value of BI
- Experience in Tableau scripting (TABCMD and TABADMIN)
- Experience working with Relational Databases (SQL Server - required, Oracle)
- Expertise in Tableau platform sizing, troubleshooting, tuning & disaster recovery
- Good knowledge of Tableau Metadata tables.
