Thereare some answers here based on the NK2 file and utilities that read it, but it's not the solution because the NK2 file will not always have every recipient you've ever emailed for the following reasons:

Basically you can use the Outlook Import/Export function to achieve this. It's typically used to migrate the actual emails, but it suits the purpose of getting just the email addresses (or any other value for that matter).

There's a file called something.NK2 - this lists all of your autocomplete addresses. You can basically copy and paste the file and viola your new outlook has your old autocomplete. I'm sure that file can be read too, try googling .NK2 reader.

We believe we can do this for new emails coming into the inbox using flow but anyone know if its possible to run flow or something else to extract the attachments that are already sitting in the email folder?

@Pn1995 It is likely that the trigger does not occur when you move an existing email into the folder - try configuring an Outlook rule to move messages into that folder when received, then send a test email.

I'm not using a shared mailbox, I'm testing with my user mailbox, so the trigger I have is 'when an email is received' - but using the action as per below, if I move an unread email or a read email from another folder into the 'Processed' folder - the flow triggers and saves out the attachment every time:

Thanks @Rob Ellis, I guess the main issue we are having is that it doesn't seam to trigger if more than 1 email is moved - ie if we move or copy 3, 4 or 5 emails it only every processes the "newest" one of those mails.

I guess the main issue is that it needs to trigger if we copy or move more than 1 email at a time in there and it doesn't seam to do that. It only every saves the attachment of the latest email, So if you copy day 5 mails into the folder only mail 1 will have its attachment saved

I like this flow and already using it but I need to have something more specific.

I want to extract the attachment but only certain files , like pdf file. I don't want images to get into my folder.

Any idea on how to do that ?

I want to extract 1 particular attachment from a received email, and save it to Sharepoint. Easy enough with pre-built flows by MSFT, except the "apply to each" piece that kicks in automatically during the build. Signature lines contain lots of png and jpeg files as attachments that get saved due to "apply to each" and I need a way to identify and pull only the file in word or excel as the attachment, skipping the others from sig line. any takers on helping with how to do this?

I have found quite a bit of guides on here that have gotten me to where I am currently at, but I need some help putting the finishing touches on my code (I'm a complete novice at this so bear with me). I am trying to use VBA within outlook to export data from the emails I have in a certain folder of my Outlook to excel. I need to extract data from the message body of numerous emails into an excel sheet. The email template I am extracting from can be found below. I need the 10 digit number after reference number, the 10 digit number after serial number, and the 7 digit number after problem description. (I have bolded the parts I need in case that was not clear)

References I've used thus far:Using VB/VBA to search Outlook messages and extract specific data into Excel worksheetThere was another I used that I cannot find the link for, and a thread on reddit as well, but I am still stuck.I am not sure if any of this is the best way to achieve the results I want as this is my first attempt at something like this. I am open to changing anything. Thanks in advance

The other thing to be aware of , is the use of split function, and the delimiters is very elegant, but your columns of data may end up with not just the customer number, but the customer number plus a whole bunch of text that you may not want. You might need to consider a starting and ending delimiter.

hi guys, i have been trying to automate a process where i receive a payment and enter the payment into an excel sheet, details that need to be entered are name, amount paid, transaction ID, and the time and date of payment. below is a sample of the confirmation message i receive after a payment is made.

Take the help from Advik Email Backup Wizard. This application can extract all emails from 200+ email servers into Excel Sheet. The software will preserve and hold the information like cc, bcc, date, time, signature, message, hyperlinks, attachments, etc. Try the software for free from official website.

@BruKn0wsthanks for the feedback. I checked out automate.io, added outlook and excel to my bot, got email from excel and set to add row, but the problem is that is there a way to get specific data from the email body. Im lost help, tried and failed.

Hi! I had the same issue you are having and the best way I solved it was by using an API to extract all the data you need. Depending on the platform you are using, I'd highly recommend looking into this as you can extract all your sales data in one go.

I'm supporting a client that has asked me to extract attachments from an employee's inbox and save those attachments to SharePoint. We've moved his emails to an Outlook 365 Group and from what I understand the browser version of Outlook 365 does not support VBA Editor. The instance of Outlook on my customer's computers is the 2013 version so although VBA Editor would be supported, that version of Outlook does not support Outlook 365 groups. Any suggestions on how to overcome this obstacle?

You could save your email attachments into a SharePoint document library through Power Automate template. In this flow template, you should fill in the Folder in the On new email with attachment action, Site Address and Folder Path in the Create file action.

In the steps outline below, we will show you how to select the exact data you need from your email body and add it straight into a SharePoint List. However you could take your extracted email data and add it into any one of the 3rd part connectors supported by Microsoft Flow!

3. The next screen will provide you with your incoming email address. This address is where you will forward all your incoming inquiries that you wish to extract to SharePoint. Go ahead and copy the email address provided. Then make sure to forward a valid inquiry or email you wish to extract and make a note of your unique Parserr inbox (eg. BSB8...@mgparserr.com) as shown below

4. Once you have forwarded the email to the assigned email address (ending in mg.parserr.com), Parserr will detect the email and then ask you a few onboarding questions. In our case we would like to extract information from the body of the email:

14. Next you will be prompted to add your username and password for Parserr. Please use the same username and password as would when you login to Parserr. This step needs to be 100% correct or the integration will not work correctly.

19. Once you are complete, save your Flow. You should now be ready to test the entire process. Exciting! Firstly send through a new email to your Parserr email address (eg. 43H...@mg.parserr.com). Then check your Parserr incoming emails to see that Parserr has received the email and that the data has been sent to Flow (under Flow Data)

I'm hoping someone smarter than me might know of a possible solution to automate some data entry. I get emails in the following format and I have to manually enter the data into Smartsheet via form. But, I can get a lot of these throughout the month and I'm thinking there must be a way to extract this data from Outlook. I was thinking I could somehow get the info into an Excel sheet since Outlook and Excel are both Microsoft products, but any solutions I've found on Google aren't working when I try. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get this data into either my Smartsheet or into an excel file without me having to manually enter it? Thanks in advance!

You could either use Zapier or a similar service combined with a Parser to collect the data and submit it to Smartsheet, or you could maybe use what I can, an Import solution sheet, and you would copy the information and paste it in the import solution. Then it could be transferred to where you need it.
