Dear Colleagues,
I have just asked from Dr. Stefanie Elgeti of RWTH Aachen University
to disseminate the Young Investigators Minisymposium at WCCM-ECCOMAS2020
in Paris
to APACM members. As written in detail in the attached pdf file and the
following e-mail, it is
an interesting event to encourage the activities among young investigators
worldwide. It would
be a very good opportunity for young investigators in APACM region as well.
Could you please disseminate the Call of Minisympoisum particition to
the mailing list of your association ?
Sincerely yours,
Shinobu Yoshimura

Subject: Invitation to the Young Investigators Minisymposium at
WCCM-ECCOMAS 2020
Dear Professor Yoshimura,
I was wondering, whether you and APACM could help us with a small
announcement. Every year at the ECCOMAS congress, the ECCOMAS Young
Investigators Committee organizes a Young Investigators Minisymposium.
Since the next ECCOMAS congress will be in held conjuction with WCCM, we
were hoping that this time, we could maybe attract a more international
group of speakers. To support us in this quest, would it be possible that
you post the following e-mail to the APACM mailing list?
Thank you very much!
Stefanie Elgeti
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Dear Young Investigators (either on paper or at heart),
We would like to kindly invite you to submit an abstract for the *Young
Investigators Minisymposium (MS #160)* that will take place within the
joint *WCCM-ECCOMAS 2020 Congress in Paris / France, 19-24 July 2020*.
This minisymposium is organized by young investigators (all of whom are
members of the ECCOMAS Young Investigators Committee) for young
investigators . The format, which has first been introduced at the ECCOMAS
Congress 2016 with great success, is *_quite different from the regular
minisymposia_* in order to particularly attract young researchers _(see
the attached PDF flyer for all details)._ For example, the session format
will allow you to give presentations as a team of two researchers
(„Presentation In Pairs“) or of negative research results („Things
That Did Not Work As Expected“).
*_Important 1:_* Even if you should not consider yourself a "young
researcher“ anymore (ECCOMAS sets the formal limit at the age of 40),
please forward this invitation to other scholars (PhD students, Postdocs)
in your group or at your university.
*Important 2:* Due to the unconventional character of this minisymposium,
authors have the *_possibility to give a presentation in this
minisymposium in addition to a regular one in another session_*.
If you are not sure on how to prepare your presentation and in which way
it should be different from regular talks, the organizers are more than
happy to help - simply write us an e-mail to get in touch
(
alexand...@unibw.de <mailto:
alexand...@unibw.de>
<mailto:
alexand...@unibw.de> <mailto:
alexand...@unibw.de>). To
submit your abstract, you need to register on the conference website first
(
www.wccm-eccomas2020.org <
http://www.wccm-eccomas2020.org/>
<
http://www.wccm-eccomas2020.org <
http://www.wccm-eccomas2020.org/> >
<
http://www.wccm-eccomas2020.org/>). Having completed the registration
form, you will receive an e-mail with your username and password, which
can be used to login to your WCCM-ECCOMAS 2020 account. From your
"Registered Participants Area" click "Add Abstract" to prepare abstract
submission. Do not forget to specify the right minisymposium name (“2100
Other / ECCOMAS Young Investigators Minisymposium”).
*_The deadline for abstract submission is December 15, 2019._*
We are very much looking forward to receiving your contribution and to
meeting you in Paris in July 2020!
Best regards,
The Young Investigators Minisymposium Organizers

Stefanie Elgeti (Vienna),
