greetings from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi!

I am pleased to inform you that a two-day long SPARC sponsored workshop,
"Fire Safety of Civil Engineering Infrastructure", is planned to be
organised on Thursday, 5th and Friday, 6th December 2019 at the
Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Delhi. This workshop will help
participants to gain fundamental knowledge about robust fire-resistant
design of structures and an opportunity to interact with some of the
experts in this area from Australia and India. It is going to be
conducted as a lecture series covering details such as fire dynamics,
heat transfer phenomenon, structural behaviour at high temperature,
design of concrete, steel, timber structures, etc. along with hands-on
training.

Please note that this is a non-residential program. The participants are
expected to make their own arrangements for stay. However, subject to
availability, the organisers will try to book accommodation on payment
basis in the Guest Houses/ Hostels of IIT Delhi, if requested
sufficiently in advance through the application form.
