Hi this is my first post to the group, but ive been playing incursion for several months now...it quickly became my favorite roguelike after I found it and I cant even bring myself to play other roguelikes any more because it is so awesome.

So anyways...I was playing today and it was going far better than I ever had before playing a Human Weavecrafter 1/ Druid 4/ Assassin 5 sneaking/teleporting (controlled) around in my cloud of fog, Death Attacking things from range with my bow, I was sure I would make it to the bottom of the dungeon and even if I didnt win at least see the endgame for the first time. But then on dungeon lvl 9 (I think) I happened upon a graveyard and something blew up a gravestone causing a huge amount of scary undead to spawn but it was ok, I just teleported out of the center of the mayhem and into a side corridor where I could shoot them to my hearts content.  So I killed a bunch of them and everything was going fine...obviously with that many undead for every shot I took I got several "more" prompts but it was fine I had this, but then something weird happened, I just kept getting "more" prompts they never stopped :( It did give me some counterspell opportunities but after awhile I stopped taking them in case they were taking too long.  Luckily I had just picked up a ring of regeneration and had good defense/armor so I wasnt really taking HP damage but after awhile of pressing "more" I realized I was getting hungry and then after more "more"ing I started getting fatigued.  I had no status effects, I wasn't paralyzed or anything, just the autobuff thing and hungry/fatigued, nothing out of the ordinary as far as I could tell.  It became clear I would either starve or become totally exhausted, eventually I did become so exhausted that I think I fell asleep and was coup de grace'd or something.  It was over :(

So my question is, was there something I could have done/missed? or was it just a bug? Incursion is obviously quite buggy so I wouldn't be surprised if it was but I just wanted to know if anyone has seen this or knows what was going on.

Thanks.

Also, I cant wait for new Incursion!

What a terrible end to a character, dying while waiting for messages
to end. I don't think time should pass while messages are listed
unless you have a terrible status effect like paralyzation, but that
should be displayed, shouldn't it? It's been a long while since I
played Incursion last.

It sounds like a bug, and I think I encountered something similar
once. Did you not back up saves in case of bugs?

No I didnt back up my save...I just use the autosaves it makes, and although I didn't check (I should have) I assumed that by the time I realized the game wasn't going to let me take another turn it had probably made another autosave. Well its too late now...I think ill just try the same build again I was enjoying it quite a bit.
