I'm not sure if this is the right place to post about a bug, but twice so far I've had level 9 Rangers try to go downstairs to the 6th floor but the game crashes every time I try it. I suspect it might be because I hoard a lot of arrows and I rest a lot, so the game gets overloaded, so to speak. It also sometimes crashes when I try to rest.

This is really unfortunate because they're characters I possibly could have won with, and it makes me reluctant to play as another class because it might happen again, making my hard-fought efforts be for nothing.

What version were you using?
What does crash mean? Windows blue screen? Red popup error with some message like "Unknown glyph"? Executable just exits?

If it is the latter there might be "crashdump" files we can get off you? Otherwise generally we need a save game just before the crash with instructions on what causes it.

I think the saving needs some polish in this regard. At this time, saves are made scarce for design reasons but with crashes happening we should really be preserving saves both for the player to resume and for us to obtain and debug. In fact if it does "just exit" the first thing that should happen on startup is a popup that says so and offers to resume.

Cheers,
Richard.

I was using version 0.6.9Y19.
Executable just exits.

Here's a link to a save file that exits whenever I go downstairs: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XTVSzeL2tsepWcNklQjKU8xex3wInBXh/view?usp=sharing

The short answer is that Julian thought that 2048 things in the level were enough, but you have 3665.

We can fix this thanks to your wonderful save file for 0.6.9Y20 when we resolve the outstanding problems preventing a release, but save files cannot be moved between versions. Otherwise, all you can do is to remove 1620 things from the level which I think we can rule out you doing!

Thank you very much! I will patiently await the release of the next update. Incursion is one of my favorite roguelikes, so I'm very happy to hear that the next version is being made.
