You can see it in the pic above at the front right, with the bright light round the outside! I hope you can turn this off! For comparison, the 1st generation (original) hub is on the left hand side of this image.

I have installed the LW hub, downloaded the App and paired the switch to the hub. This works fine in the LightwaveApp and my iPhone can see it and control in via Apple HomeKit. However, I am failing to get the lightwave component of HA to load.

I am not sure why switches is being configured as I have specified lights:. I am also not clear why I am getting any error as I have tried to directly copy the basic configuration.yaml documentation for lightwave.

Each switch on a module is discovered and created as a single device. The basic device will cover on/off and dim. I only created specific devices for the G2 sockets and G1 dimmer. Technically yes, you could use any of the ones on that page with the default switch device.

I'm pretty sure I set the basic switch handler, 'WogaLWRF - Lightwave Switch, ' as the default device type if there wasn't a specific handler for the found device. I'll have a look tomorrow and jog my memory. With the way Lightwave treat a switch on a multi-gang device as a named device that should be enough to get basic functionality.

The LW400 is a gen 1 light switch. I wrote the app so it could handle hooks, i.e. state change notifications from lightwave but if you notice any issues let me know. I don't know whether the gen2 light switches have any additional features such as power draw that obviously won't be coded.

Just stumbled across this thread.
I'm currently using all Gen 1 stuff. Hub, dimmer and outlets.
I have it working through an RPi to give full local integration.
Are you saying that this setup will work with Gen 1 devices.
Just wondering if this could be a backup if my RPi goes txts up.
I assume it would be a cloud integration though.
Thanks.

I have a number of LightwaveRF wall light switches, inline relays, dimmers etc. The wall switches are really nice looking but over time a few of the dimmers and relays are starting to fail and need replacing.

When I press a button on a lightwave wall switch is there a way for SmartThings to see that request being sent to the LightwaveRF hub (old gen not new, but could upgrade to new if it only works on that) or via another device like an Rfxcom device?

I might add gen 2 devices when I need to replace the old ones. Apart from an official integration from LW to ST is there anything else to gain from upgrading e.g. can ST intercept commands from the gen 2 hub when used with gen 1 devices?

The Lightwave 3 and 3+ diode array spectrophotometers offer all the benefits associated with the established Lightwave range. Predefined methods for rapid scanning, kinetics, and concentration capabilities, a variable pathlength cell holder up to 40 mm and their compatibility with disposable low volume UV cuvettes have made them a common sight among educational and industrial laboratories alike.

The instrument includes a large wide view display and in-built software providing flash scan, fixed wavelength measurements, kinetics and concentration with comprehensive graphics capability plus the ability to store up to 90 methods. On peak confirmation is also a feature of the flexible software. Concentration may be measured using either a factor, single point calibration, multi-standard curves or alternatively there is a multi-wavelength mode where equations using absorbance values may be used for ratio calculations. Samples may be measured in 10, 20 or 40mm pathlength cells (glass, quartz or disposable).

All instruments have a USB port to download result data to a flash drive in a CSV file format. Alternatively, results may be printed to an optional integrated graphical printer for a permanent record or exported via a USB cable connection to a suitable PC running Print Via Computer (PVC) software for advanced reporting and data storage or the optional wireless accessory.
