How Do I Download More Apps On Foxtel

The Foxtel Group has announced a series of multi-year agreements with ViacomCBS to provide blockbuster and catalogue Paramount Pictures movies, a large range of hit TV series, the Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and MTV channels, along with integration of the Paramount+ and 10 Play apps onto Foxtel set top boxes in 2022 for Australia.
They primarily want access to international news channels (CNN, BBC, etc), and the Telstra person has referred to the bundle as a much cheaper way to get Foxtel (no box, etc). My understanding has always been that you get basic access, and have to pay more for any good content??
Does anyone know how to update the Sphere TV? I have tried to download some apps, Netflix, Foxtel Go, but get a message stating the TV is not compatible. It is supposed to be a smart TVs but doesnt seem very smart to me. Cheers
As Foxtel describes it, its new box is "a simple plug-and-play device that provides access to Foxtel Now in HD along with free-to-air channels via a built-in free-to-air tuner#. It also includes access to SVOD app Stan (separate Stan subscription required) as well as free-to-air streaming apps, ABC iview, PLUS7 and tenplay".
There's also "access to a world of content, games, music and apps from the Google Play store as well as the ability to stream at 4K quality with compatible apps", which includes Foxtel competitor Stan, with even Foxtel in talks with Netflix for Netflix to be available on the Foxtel set top box as an app!
