There is a special "echo" conference server, called *ECHOTEST*, to which you can connect to test your audio. Once connected, the server simply records anything you transmit and plays it back. This is a convenient way to verify that your transmitted audio is clean, and to adjust record and playback sound levels. You can connect by choosing "Connect to Test Server" from the Station menu. If you are connecting to EchoLink via an RF link, the node number for *ECHOTEST* is 9999.

The main processor/Microcontroller retrieves the information from memory ic when it is power on to know how to work/boot. If the Flash IC/Memory IC of the ECHOLINK EL-9999 PLUS HD receiver is damaged for any reason or its software/firmware malfunctions due to any reason then the Main controller does not get any boot/basic information and the satellite receiver ECHOLINK EL-9999 PLUS HD does not turn on. In this situation, we need to reprogram the flash ic of the ECHOLINK EL-9999 PLUS HD receiver with the matched hardware dump/flash file to get the receiver in normal condition. Given ECHOLINK EL-9999 PLUS HD receiver software is a backup dump file and can be loaded by a Programmer or with a Loader tool in the dead receiver or can be upgraded/downgraded in the working receiver by the USB Upgrade method or with STB Upgrade Tool. As for the EchoLink. The SVXLink module offers no settings for adjusting the audio levels. You may be best to use Echolink as your standard and adjust your repeater input audio to match that. Then it should output at around the same level. You may also want to make sure that you are using multiple EchoLink sources to confirm your claim. I would also use that source and try connecting to the Echolink test server (9999) to see how the replayed audio compares with the level of the prompts. Getting everything setup correctly can be a fine balancing act since there are a number of controls in the audio path that can affect one another.
about the echolink problem, its sad to hear there is no gain setting for echolink.
RX audio is perfect, no audio hiss nice and hot but not over driven. ofcorse i can put a attenuator on the input but than i have to build an amp stage asswel to makeup for the attenuator (since the soundcard is maxed allready)
Please remember to check your audio by first connecting to the *ECHOTEST* Audio Test Server Node 9999. Speak as you would normally, and listen to the retransmission for audio distortion, dropouts and/or robotic (R2D2) audio quality.
