I have recently installed the free version of this software for use on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. So far I love how it all works for my business. I use it mainly for the store POS and product inventory. My question is, how do I go about backing up all of the purchase and POS transactions that I have made already. I would like to back my system up every week in case of the need to reinstall software from a hardware crash. Any help on this would be appreciated very much.

Thanks

Eric

Hello,

MySQL has some tools that can do regular backups. You can search for "scheduled backup mysql ubuntu" in Google.
Another way is to try our service called IncoCloud (incocloud.com) which is embedded in the latest versions of IncoPOS (look at the bottom right corner or Edit->Administration->IncoCloud). The idea is that this service can keep your information in sync with the cloud and optionally synchronise the information with other databases you may have (for accountants or other stores). This way the information is kept up to date all the time when you are online so no regular backups are needed, and later if something happens with your computer you can choose to restore your database from IncoCloud using the database creation dialog.
