Hi all,

I've attached the data entry plan for the vital statistics portion of my project.  For some reason I couldn't share the Google Doc with this group, but hopefully this works.  If you have any questions or don't think you can get your part in by next Thursday, please let me know.

Thanks and hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi all,

I just wanted to clarify one thing on the data entry, in terms of missing values (mainly in Table 4)

Some of the missing values are coded with two dots, as specified in the first page of the PDF.  If that is the case, then just enter it the same way that it is in the PDF.

However, in other cases, there are either certain slots left blank or entire rows eliminated from the table.  In both of these cases, please just leave the Excel cell blank.  Thus, even if there is an entire row eliminated (most commonly the rural and urban rows), leave all of the cells in the row empty, but don't delete the row.  There seem to be a few different reasons for the elimination of the rows in the original data, so I think that leaving it like this would be the simplest/safest way for now

Thanks to Linfeng for pointing this out and also for adding the bookmarks to the PDF files.

Thank again for your help,

Kayla
