I think I mentioned this in lab at some point. It's worth reiterating to everyone because it's very important.
In all the decks from 1982 where the unit of observation is finer than the household, every household has an "all _____" observation. That captures information about all the [whatever] rather than any one specifically. So in this case it would be information about all the loans the household has taken (e.g. total borrowing). In the crop database it would be information about all the crops the household grew (e.g. how many tractors do you own...) When you're computing household-level or higher statistics from these decks you must deal with the All [whatever] observations carefully (usually either drop them or drop everything else and use only them).
Also, keep an eye open - I vaguely recall that in at least one deck they screwed up and mislabeled some crop as "all crops".
