Two big opportunities listed below

In Manchester

NOV Fri 12th 2010 Manchester, UK @ The Noise Upstairs (Limited spaces
so you have to book ahead)

A Four Hour DIY Instrument Building Workshop by Yuri Landman
Hypercustom in collaboration with Julie Tippex Booking (Berlin, Paris
& London) organised by the Noise Upstairs

Secondly in Liverpool or Leeds

i'll explain further... i am touring the exhibition 'active crossover'
to 4 venues next year, the second of which will be in liverpool and
the third in leeds. each exhibition runs for a month and i will be
organising live music events on the opening and closing weekends of
the exhibition. for more information on how this has worked in the
past please have a look at the 'active crossover' website, link below.

the dates i am proposing are:
livepool - 27/05/11 and 25/06/11
leeds - 01/07/11 and 29/07/11

i should mention, i will be applying for funding specifically to cover
artists' fees for these events, but have to stress there is a chance i
may not be successful in securing a grant. the arts council supported
the first two shows, and as the project has continued, and gained more
publicity by the second show earlier this year, i feel confident i
will be successful.

i should also mention the format of the events. artists are paired up,
then one plays a short solo set. they are then joined by the second
artist for a short collaborative set, and then the first artist bows
out, leaving the second to continue to play their own short solo set.
this has proved popular, both with participating artists and the
audience.

so, if you can suggest any artists you feel would be interested in
playing please let me know, or forward this emaill to them.

i hope i have explained everything, but if there is something i
haven't explained sufficiently, please let me know.
i hope to hear back from you soon.

best regards
simon
